Beach bans bathing due to pollution

Beach bans bathing due to pollution - The Peno beach in Carqueiranne in the Var has banned bathers from swimming in the sea today due to pollution. The ban was put in place on Thursday until further notice, after the Regional Health Agency received results of a higher-than-normal presence of pollution in the water. Additional tests are to be carried out to determine the origin. Last week, three beaches in Sainte-Maxime also had to close for a few hours for similar reasons. The origin of the pollution was quickly identified: it was due to the bad weather.
