Unemployment - The unemployment rate in France has dropped slightly in the second quarter of this year by 0.2%. According to figures published by INSEE the decrease to 8.2% represents 66,000 fewer unemployed. The lowest level reached to date since 2009 was 8.5%. The new figures show a continuing downward trend of 0.6% each year. The report forecasts that the unemployment rate will reach 8.3% by the end of the year.
