Protest by prison staff

Protest by prison staff - Following a breakdown in negotiations between the government and prison unions, on Monday, prison staff have announced they will be blocking the prison in Nice and across France today. According to unions the proposals made by the government “did not respond to the urgency of the situation”.  The unions have been calling for urgent action to introduce better protection for prison officers and working conditions.
