New York City plans to ban Foie Gras - New York City Council has voted in favour of banning the marketing of foie gras from 2022. From the end of October 2022, three years after the adoption of the law, it will be forbidden for any establishment that sells food to sell, serve or even stock foie gras. Offenders will be fined between $ 500 and $ 2,000, which may be renewed every 24 hours. While two farms in the region supply a significant amount of the New York market the measure will also have an impact on French producers.
