Mayor of Valbonne speaks out against Open Sky project - With the local elections just around the corner the mayor of Valbonne –Sophia Antipolis, Christophe Etoré has affirmed that the Open Sky project is not suited for the needs of the local community and residents. The idea for the Open Sky new generation shopping centre in the region was first launched at MIPIM in Cannes in 2017. The cost of the project is estimated at 250 million euros.
