French television star has died - Ariane, the host of the "Club Dorothée", has died at the age of 61. Ariane Carletti, was Dorothée's colleague and was one of the most popular faces of French television in the 80’s. The daughter of a director and actress, Carletti made her theater debut in the 1970s, and then went on television in 1980, recruited by Antenne 2 to temporarily replace Dorothée. She later joined the Récré A2 team and Club Dorothée on TF1 the famous children's show which generations of French children grew up watching.
