French politician Jean Luc Mélenchon opposes campaign poster - According to reports in the French weekly Le Canard Enchainé the French left wing political party of Jean-Luc Mélenchon “La France Insoumise” have dumped 180,000 campaign posters ahead of the European elections, which will take place on May 26, on the grounds that Mélenchon wanted a different coloured tie to the one featured on the poster. On Tuesday the paper reported that Mélenchon had requested that the image of him wearing a "bordeaux coloured tie" be used, opposed to the version printed which showed him sporting a blue one.
