Climate change - According to a report published by the World Weather Network during the recent heat wave which hit Western Europe at the end of July, temperatures would have been "about 1.5 ° to 3 ° degrees lower" without climate change. Temperature records were broken in several countries during the brief but intense heat wave with 42.6 degrees in Paris and unprecedented temperatures being reached in the UK, with 38.7 ° degrees in Cambridge. The report concludes that "Such an event would have had an extremely low probability of occurring" without climate change in France.
