Barcelona Attack

18:30 - A van has ploughed into crowds on Barcelona’s famous Ramblas tourist area, in an attack that bears striking similarity to that on Nice last year. Police say at least one person has been killed and up to twenty seriously injured in what they describe as a "massive crash". A massive man hunt in underway for the driver who ran from the scene.

Police are treating the incident as a terror attack, but it’s also thought it could be related to recent anti-tourism protests, where short term holiday lets on websites like AirBnB, are driving up rental prices for residents of the city.
