Pensioners to gather in protest today in major French cities

Pensioners to protest in major French cities today - Local media has reported that pensioners in major cities across France including Nice and Toulon will take to the streets today in protest at the rise of the CSG wanted by the French government. Gatherings have been planned as pensioners vow to express their dissatisfaction.

In Nice there are reportedly plans to meet at  place Garibaldi at 10:30. According to INSEE, in 2013 in the Alpes-Maritimes, over 65 year olds accounted for 22.6% of the population compared to 23.3% in the Var.
