Nicolas Sarkozy placed in police custody

Nicolas Sarkozy placed in police custody - Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy has been placed in police custody as part of an investigation on the suspicion of Libyan financing of the Presidential campaign in 2007.  The accusations come from a document revealed by the Mediapart site in April 2012. According to reports the document dated in December 2006 mentions "an agreement in principle" for the payment by Libya, then ruled by Colonel Gaddafi, of 50 million euros.
