National Service - The French government spokesman Benjamin Griveaux has announced this morning that the "universal national service" campaign promised during Emmanuel Macron’s election campaign, will be "mandatory". Griveaux was speaking on French radio when he said “technical details were being looked into and a report will be submitted late April”. Macron had promised in March 2017 to re-establish a "mandatory national universal service" of one month.
