Most expensive summer resort in France - A recent survey has shown that several towns located in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez in the Var are among the top 10 most expensive resorts in France. Saint-Tropez, Grimaud and Sainte-Maxime are among the top 10 most expensive seaside resorts of the summer. The village of Saint-Tropez came first place in the ranking, with the modest sum of 5.919 € for a week rental. Grimaud, a neighboring city, ranked fourth where the budget for a week rental is 2.853 € and the commune of Sainte-Maxime, ranked eighth remaining the most affordable seaside resort in the Var costing 2.240 euros per week.
