We’re just a few weeks away from the International Philanthropy Summit which is being held in Monaco in February. The summit assembles celebrities and distinguished philanthropists to discuss and review events and the social and environmental responsibility of luxury industry. The summit, which takes place on the 15th of February at the Auditorium Rainier III, has a though-provoking programme and invaluable networking opportunities.
The 10th Monaco to Dakar Africa Eco Race is well underway. The rally cars left Monaco on New Year’s Eve and are currently part-way through their trek to Dakar. The drivers are crossing Morocco, Mauritania and Senegal, arriving on the 14th of January. The route of this nomadic rally covers a total of 6,500 km with an emphasis on respecting the environment and the people encountered. As part of an increasingly responsible approach, various systems are being implemented, such as photovoltaic panels on the Check Point vehicles and tracking to regulate speeds in the villages that the rally is passing through.
