A Monegasque delegation, led by the Director General of the Department of External Relations and Cooperation, has returned from a mission to Mongolia, in order to to take stock of the help that Monaco has provided there since 2008. This visit made it clear that the results are very positive. Since the beginning of the scheme, €3.8m of assistance from the Government of Monaco to Mongolia has directly helped 45,000 people to improve their living conditions.
Under the presidency of HSH Prince Albert, the 70th Gala of the Monegasque Red Cross will take place next week, in the prestigious setting of the Salle des Etoiles. For the organisation founded in 1948 by Prince Louis II, this anniversary evening marks seventy years of helping the most vulnerable people, both within the Principality and elsewhere. Last year alone, more than 74,000 people worldwide, benefited directly from the activities of the Monegasque Red Cross, a figure that is twice the population of Monaco.
