The Government has acted swiftly, after discovering some products on sale, at last weeks ‘Anti-Ageing Congress’, which contained human placenta extracts.
A Government inspector had attended the first day of the congress, and succeeded in having the offending products removed from sale. However, the Japanese company selling the medicines, had hidden supplies, and after the inspector left, these were put on sale. The following day, authorities re-visited the congress, finally seizing more than 2,300 boxes of the product.
Monaco’s Minister of Health anticipates legal procedures, against the Japanese company involved, but not against the organisers of the Congress.
The Department of Health and Social Affairs has launched a new campaign to immunize children in the Principality from eleven infectious diseases. The vaccines are 80% covered by Health Insurance, except the measles, mumps and rubella, which are fully covered. The vaccinations can be provided by your family doctor.
