The Council of the European Union has published a list of non-cooperative jurisdictions for tax. The criteria for inclusion included transparency, fair taxation, and the commitment to implement the OECD BEPS project. Due to it’s compliance with these standards, Monaco is not included on the list, and was rated as largely compliant on fiscal transparency. The Government has expressed its satisfaction at the work done and will continue to maintain its compliance with international standards in this field.
Monaco has been proudly associated for the past six years with the commemoration of the United Nations International Day of Disabled Persons. This week, to mark the day, the Department of Health and Social Affairs, held meeting on disability in the auditorium of the Monaco Technical and Hotel School, in the presence of the Minister of Health and Social Affairs. Earlier this year, Prince Albert deposited the Instrument of Ratification of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities with the United Nations. The convention was made enforceable in the Principality by Sovereign Order of November 2nd.
