The Government of Monaco has organized two briefings on the negotiations with the European Union, to be held at the Auditorium Rainier III. The first, from the Minister of External Relations will be a progress report on the negotiations, and the second with the Minister of Social Affairs and Health, is for the main trade unions and employers organizations. Other meetings will be organized during 2018.
The land extension project at Portier Cove is entering a new phase with the dredging of unpolluted marine sediments, which will be then deposited off Monaco. It follows several operations to relocate marine plants and other fauna to protected areas, in order to minimise the environmental impact of the project. The next stage, starting in December, will involve the laying of the backfill on which the foundations will rest.
This week, Prince Albert presented filmmaker James Cameron with the Prince Rainier III Award, recognizing him as a renowned leader in the arts and his service to the community.
