Monaco’s ‘Minister of State’ Serge Telle, accompanied by the Minister of Finance and Economy, have signed an agreement sealing the Principality’s investment in Azzurra Aeroporti, the majority shareholder of Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur. It means Monaco will hold a stake of 12.5 percent stake in local airports. Serge Telle said the Prince’s Government was happy to become a shareholder in Nice airport and to participate in its long-term development.
A new private air connection between the Riviera and London has been started. Surf Air are offering a unique subscription based way of flying, where for €2,000 a month, customers can take as many flights as they like, on their eight-seat private business jet. The company are starting with a twice weekly route from Cannes-Mandelieu to London-Luton, but expect that to increase to daily flights with a new helicopter connection to Monaco as demand increases.
