Prince Albert has been in New York to take part in the General Assembly of the United Nations on Tuesday, and to submit Monaco’s ratification of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. While in the United States he also attended to the famous West Point military academy, just over 60 years since a visit by his parents Prince Rainier and Princess Grace.
On Monday, Monaco submitted its nuclear treaty papers to strengthen nuclear safety and security, according to the the Monaco-based International Atomic Energy Agency. Bolivia and Syria also submitted papers which provide an opportunity for countries to present instruments expressing consent to be bound by important treaties.
Due to next weeks Monaco Yacht Show, traffic on Boulevard Louis II, and access to the bus shelter of the Kennedy bus stop, will be difficult between now and October 8. The Monaco Bus Company has moved the bus stop about 100 metres upstream, before the “Cedez-le-passage” sign, where a provisional red post, indicates the temporary location of the stop. The temporary stop will also allow easier access to the show itself.
