French Icon for Sale

A £10bn move to combine Christian Dior and Louis Vitton has been made by France’s richest man, Bernard Arnault. The Arnault family own LVMH, which runs Louis Vitton, Moet, Bulgari and other luxury brands. They are also the majority shareholder in Christian Dior. Under the deal, they will buy the rest of Dior that they do not already own. Shares in Christian Dior have jumped about 12% on the news and LVMH shares rose 4%.
