Explosive device Update

Explosive Device Update - A shell dating from the Second World War has been discovered by  a diver. The diver found the shell on Thursday morning situated about fifty meters from the beach on the Promenade des Anglais in Nice. The explosive, which is more than one meter long, weighs 250 kg lies 12 meters deep. According to reports the area has been cordoned off as a safety measure while the Maritime Prefecture attempts to move the shell. Failing to do so could mean the evacuation of the area around the Cours Saleya in Nice. While waiting for a final decision, the municipal police of Nice will remain in place to secure the zone.
