Compulsory schooling in France

Compulsory schooling in France - The Elysee has today announced plans for the age of compulsory schooling in France to be lowered from 6 to 3 years. The measure which would be effective from September 2019 is to be formalized following a meeting with a panel of experts on Wednesday. The symbolic measure aims above all to recognize the place of pupils attending nursery school as almost all children in France attend nursery from the age of 3.
