Date 20/04/17 10:33

Anti-FN march - Four people have been arrested in Marseille during an anti-FN march. The arrests were made on Wednesday ahead of National Front leader and Presidential candidate Marine Le Pen’s meeting in the southern French city. More than 500 people gathered with some demonstrators wearing masks, hoods and even helmets. According to reports there were clashes between police and demonstrators as the procession headed for the Dome, a theatre where the meeting was being held. Authorities said that the rally had started quietly at 6pm and was dispersed around 8:00 pm, but a handful of individuals then attempted to reach the Dome by parallel streets brandishing firecrackers and launching objects at police.
